This is a good meal to start out the day. Add a few chips, and some fresh fruit, and serve it up as a brunch. No way can you miss out on this delicious meal.
- 8 slices whole wheat bread
- 1/2 lb Deli American or Swiss Cheese
- 1/4 lb thinly sliced deli ham
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 c. mixed fresh fruit, cut up
- For sandwiches, evenly divide cheese and ham, place on 4 slices of bread, and top with remaining bread slices.
- Combine egg, milk and mustard in shallow pie plate or dish, blend well. Dip sandwiches into egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
- Heat large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
- Serve with fresh fruit, and chips.
